According to local sources, new pro-democracy gatherings will take place 16 November in Bangkok to protest against Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his government. Protesters ask for the resignation of the head of the government and a reform of monarchy (see our previous alerts).
Demonstrators will gather at 12:00 (local time) in front of the Government House.
The demonstration is due to be attended by a large crowd.
We remind you that in Bangkok, the places of gatherings are numerous and usually announced without previous notice to delay the intervention of security forces.
Security sources uses violence to disperse the protesters and usually make arrests, in that sense it is recommended to stay well away from all protests and to keep updated about the evolution of the situation in the next few days.
Travel disruptions are to be expected. We recommended to stay well away from all gatherings and crowd movement. Violence is not excluded in case of a police intervention.
