PAPUA NEW GUINEA – Magnitude 5.4 earthquake south-southeast of Panguna – New aftershocks not to be ruled out

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has reported that a magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred 17 November at 08:45 (local time) south-southeast of Panguna.

The hypocentre of the earthquake was measured at a depth of 69 km.

New aftershocks are to be expected.
