The 110th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution (1910) will be celebrated across the country on 20 November.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) said that the celebrations will be mainly symbolic and without an audience due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this regard, several events that were to be held outside the capital have been cancelled.

In Mexico City, an event including a military parade is planned from 09:00 (local time) at the Monument to the Revolution. In the afternoon, another event will also be held in Campo Marte.

In addition, the National Anti-AMLO Front (FRENA) called for a new mobilisation on 21 November in Mexico City (see our previous alerts). Participants will gather at the Monument to the Revolution from 10:00.

Security reinforcements and disruptions are to be expected.
