JAPAN – Magnitude 5.7 earthquake in the Volcano Islands – New aftershocks not to be ruled out

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has reported that a magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred 11 November at 14:17 (local time) in the Volcano Islands (‘Iwo Islands’).

The hypocenter of the earthquake was measured at a depth of 10 km.

New aftershocks are to be expected.
