According to local media sources, taxi driver unions reportedly launched a protest movement in Dabou 12 November in protest against the deployment of the police since election violence broke out in the town (see our warnings).

The protesters accuse law enforcement of exhorting money from taxi drivers.

Therefore, demonstrations and potential roadblocks should not be ruled out in the town, given that the socio-political situation following the presidential elections remains tense across the country.

Possible incidents between demonstrators and the police should not be dismissed either.
