At the call of the party Pitit Desalin, anti-government mobilizations will take place 17 November across the country, especially in the cities of Gonaïves, Cap-Haïtien, Saint-Marc and Jacmel to denounce insecurity, unemployment, poverty and Corruption.
A second day of demonstration will take place 18 November in Port-au-Prince to protest against the US interference in the country’s internal affairs.
The demonstrators will converge from several points in the capital, including Pétion-Ville, Champ-de-Mars, Carrefour de l’Aeroport, La Saline, Pont-Rouge, Wharf Jérémie and Delmas 2 towards the Carrefour Gérald Batailles before walking towards the United States Embassy.
A general mobilization called by the National Union of “normaliens haïtiens” (UNNOH) will be held on the same day in the town of Pétion-Ville.
Security reinforcement should be expected, especially around the American embassy. Travel disruptions are also expected.
We remind you that it is advisable to keep well away from all gatherings and mob movements. Unrest is possible in the event of police intervention.
