GREECE – Dodecanese, Cyclades and Crete: severe thunderstorms and violent winds to be expected on 19 and 20 November- Disruptions to be anticipated, vigilance required

The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS) has issued a level 3 out of 4 warning for severe thunderstorms which will affect the island of Crete and the Dodecanese and Cyclades archipelagos on 19 and 20 November.

Severe weather is expected to continue on the Dodecanese archipelago and Crete until at least 20 November, while a lull will be observed in the Cyclades from the evening of the 19th.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms will be accompanied in places by strong winds and possibly hail.

It is advisable to follow the latest developments on the HNMS website as well as any instructions from the authorities. Disturbances are to be expected.
