GERMANY – Düsseldorf: Demonstration on 15 November in protest against Covid-19 restrictions – Security reinforcement and disruptions to be anticipated, clashes not to be excluded

The « Querdenken » (lateral thinking) movement called for a new mobilisation on 15 November in Düsseldorf in protest against Covid-19 related restrictions.

Participants will gather from 15:00 (local time) in Rheinwiesen before marching towards the city centre.

Similar mobilisations are planned for 15 November in Lindau, Erlangen (Bavaria) and Hamm (North Rhine-Westphalia).

The day before, clashes had broken out on the fringes of a similar demonstration in Frankfurt between protesters, counter-demonstrators and security forces (SSF 14/11/2020 and earlier).

Increased security and disruptions are to be expected. Counter-mobilisations and further violence cannot be ruled out.
