More calls have been issued for a demonstration to be held in Tbilisi 9 November, within the framework of the opposition demonstrations in protest against the disputed victory of the ruling Georgian Dream party in the 31 October legislative elections.
The demonstrators, who are calling for new legislative elections to be held, will assemble in Rustaveli Avenue from 18:00 local time. They could then decide to march to the Election Administration, in a similar fashion to past rallies.
Increased security and disruption should be expected. Renewed clashes with the security forces should not be ruled out.
