At the call of the opposition parties, thousands of demonstrators gathered 11 November in Freedom Square in Yerevan and then marched towards the government and Parliament buildings, despite the ban of mobilizations given the martial law in force in the country since the end of September, to protest against the signing of the end of hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh and to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pachinian (see our previous alerts).

According to media sources, at least 135 people, including opposition leaders, were arrested by the police at the beginning of the rally before being released later.

In this context, further mobilizations from opposition parties should be expected in the coming days.

We remind you that it is advisable to keep well away from all gatherings and mob movements. Unrest is possible in the event of police intervention.
