In a warning message issued 10 November, the U.S. diplomatic authorities have warned against a protest 11 November in Yerevan against the signing of the end of hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh, signed the day before by the Armenian Prime minister and the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan (see our previous alerts).

According to the same source, the protest will start at 13:00 (local time) on the Freedom Square.

Washington also indicated that other protests may take place in the next few days.

We remind you that angry protesters stormed the government and Parliament buildings during the night of 9 to 10 November. Demonstrators think the signing of ceasefire illustrates a defeat of Armenia in the conflict of Nagorno Karabakh.

The police succeeded in retaking control of the government and the Parliament during the morning 10 November. During the day, some protesters tried to block the traffic in the centre of Yerevan, in particular on the avenue Abovian.

In this context, ongoing protests are to be anticipated in the next few days. It is advised to stay away from all gathering, as there is a risk of violence.
