Local sources reported that several hundred demonstrators, including opposition supporters, gathered again on November 19 in Yerevan to protest against the signing on November 9 of the Russian-sponsored agreement ending the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to these same sources, tensions were reported on the fringes of these mobilizations which triggered the intervention of the security forces. The protesters demanded in particular the resignation of the Prime Minister, Nikol Pachinian.

Similar protests had already been held in recent days (SSF 12/11/2020 and previous) and are likely to continue in the coming days, potentially on November 21 and 22.
