LEBANON – Akkar Governorate: massive fire in a pipeline following an act of sabotage – Security reinforcement to anticipate

According to media sources, a massive fire erupted 14 November in a pipeline in Akkar district causing thick columns of black smoke.

According to the same information, the fire started following an act of sabotage committed the day before by unidentified individuals in order to steal the oil.

Civil Defense announced that the fire was brought under control on the same day.

A security reinforcement was carried out in the sector in order to secure the infrastructure.
